Washing up...the RIGHT way!

Ok....some people (MIL) wash the dishes with a sink full of greasy water and Fairy....swishing all the tea dregs, crumbs and bits of food together and then dry them with a manky towel.

This is to save water.

Others like me, wash them under running water...apart from greasy trays which are soaked then scrubbed under running water....and then leave all dishes to air dry.

I can't BEAR MIL's way but she is all "Ooh what a waste!" when she sees me do it my way....in my own home I ignore her but in hers I have to do it her way. (boak)

She will happily water the lawn for ages....and run feet deep baths.

AIBU to think washing up MIL's way is gross?

I use the dishwasher Grin

If I have to wash up, then I do it like you house.

Washing up like how you MIL does it.....makes everything smell and taste horrible (cups etc).....Boak!

The one thing I remember from HE

Glasses
Cups
Cutlery
Plates
Pots and pans
and the 'change the water for wood'

And use hot water - the rubber gloves will stop your poor little handies getting hot but it will remove the grease DH!
