to want to drive into Richmond on Thames on a Sunday lunchtime?

We have to collect DCs from 2 different locations and meet some relatives in Richmond for lunch. DH has a horror of driving in any built up area within the M25 and is convinced the traffic will be a nightmare, there will be nowhere to park and we'll never find our destination anyway (we don't have satnav) so we should drive home from location 2 and get a train. Is the traffic really that bad on a Sunday?

Not normally. But rugby this Sunday will mean the main road (316) is closed. Best check!

thanks slicedfinger - now if he'd made that argument I would have listened. I will happily drag the DCs away early from their sleepovers now.

Also the trains are very busy, and you should make sure you have booked a restaurant (I live here and it's been a nightmare on match days!)
