It's often done...

Just wondering what the general consensus is on if it's worth doing

And possibly risking it

GloGirl · 14/10/2015 14:04

What do you want to ask?!

iPaid · 14/10/2015 14:05

AIBU is full of trolls anyway.

What do you want to ask?!

I don't know if I dare yet (mental health/anxiety related)

OP posts:
squoosh · 14/10/2015 14:07

Just ask.

If anyone gives you crap, just flick some Vs at your screen.

I never understand why some people get so bent out of shape if a thread isn't in quite the right place.

Slugonthewindow · 14/10/2015 14:09

What an odd OP. Ask or don't ask but don't half ask, the vipers will be hissing in anticipation....

Just put a disclaimer on it saying be gentle or post in chat.

Ok too late now, but might ask in few days then and try chat first

Awww I want to know now hairbrush !

Stick it in chat anyway, there's plenty of traffic there.

MyFavouriteClintonisGeorge · 14/10/2015 14:14

Or post in Mental Health?

QuiteLikely5 · 14/10/2015 14:16

Post your question here.

Chat is great for traffic.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 14/10/2015 14:17

I believe the Mental Health board is pretty active, and I know there is a lot of support there. Not saying you shouldn't post here but you might get a bit more understanding there.

DoJo · 14/10/2015 14:17

If you have a concern about your mental health and are upfront about it, then I think AIBU generally relaxes a little - it's when someone posts a reverse, or seemingly unrelated thread and then drops in that they have mental health issues later on that things can get heated. If you need help though, ask for it. Don't delay and don't put it off waiting for the 'right moment' - the right time is when you need it.

hairbrushbedhair · 14/10/2015 14:17

Or post in Mental Health?

Thing is I know it's my anxiety magnifying my concerns but don't know if the anxiety could be eliminated by taking a practical action. It's a topic that lots of people haven't heard of hence wondering where I would get the traffic of users who would have knowledge and yet not wanting to offend

OP posts:
DisillusionedGoat · 14/10/2015 14:20

Post in chat or relationships, most people in relationships for all and anything, it's a safe and very well informed place.

hairbrushbedhair · 14/10/2015 14:21

*Awww I want to know now hairbrush !

If anyone really wants to know they can probably work it out from my username posting history

But please don't out it on this thread unless I decide to (feeling quite raw but in need of talking, not suicidal or depressed rather just very anxious)

OP posts:
GloGirl · 14/10/2015 14:23

Just post a new thread in chat. I've learnt that mental health shouldn't wait.

Seize the moment!

hairbrushbedhair · 14/10/2015 14:27

Is there a way to report your own thread on the app? I have a thread in general health which hasn't been replied to. If I get it moved to chat it might get some advice

It's a health condition im worrying about basically more than perhaps the average person would because I suffer with anxiety

Sorry for committing drip feeding offences
