Genuine question: is AHS actually scary? So many of my friend rave about it. Is it terrifying, gory, creepy etc?

I miss Jessica Lange as well!

For me, each season the first episode of the series contains a scene or two so gruesome that I think I won't be able to tolerate the series. But then later in that same episode there is a beautiful moment that redeems it for me.

Liz Taylor/Denis O'Hare may be our new Jessica Lange, though. So melancholy, and cynical, but somehow also retaining dignity.

I was originally shocked at just how violent AHS was, when I started watching the first one, particularly the sexual violence. I have seen clips of the Freak Show one and EatShitDerek, I too don't like clowns but can't wait to see the whole series I just like being scared.

I loved the last episode of season 1 and 2 particularly; season 1's was actually comedic.

There's a huge backlash online saying how its a travesty Jessica Lange isn't in the new series,etc but seeing as its a brand new series, I don't think I'll miss her. She was good tho.

Digital spy says that she's this close >< to coming back for season 6. I love her. I loved the relationship between her and Jamie Brewer specially in the first series. Jessica is trying to be nice to her daughter who just wants to be a pretty girl and dress up for Halloween. Jessica says to her in a jaded manner something about gaining a lot of weight during her pregnancy and having to wear massive dresses. Let's dig one out. It might fit you. :o
