DS asked to go for a sleepover by good friend ( both aged 9) friend then clears off round to his mates house and leaves DS at his house cos DS didn't want to go.

Is it just me or is this just a bit off? WIBU to say that he won't be having anymore sleepovers or going to play at friends as this isn't the first time he's been ditched!

That's horrible! Where were the boy's parents? There's no way I would let my dd go out and leave a friend behind. Your poor ds.

Leeds2 · 11/10/2015 22:57

As the mother, I would not allow my DC to abandon ship!

youngestisapsycho · 11/10/2015 22:57

Well that's purely the parents fault.... They shouldn't have let their son go off out if he had a friend for a sleepover!

5Foot5 · 11/10/2015 22:59

What were the parents thinking? There is no way in the world i would have let my DD ditch a guest like that. The child at 9 probably doesn't know any better but the parents must be ill-mannered gits if they let this sort of thing happen. I think he has been very unfortunate with his "friends" Can he have them to sleep over at yours?

Pobspits · 11/10/2015 22:59

That's crap. I'd make sure he knew it was crap and I'd have a word with the mum or dad of the inviting child.

However, why didn't ds go? Tbh I would probably check he wasn't being a moany sod before his friend left! That said I would NEVER let my dc do this no matter what. Cruel.
