I need people to tell me i am and get a grip.
Today im 30. Dp has bought me, gin (I am breastfeeding 12week old dd), slippers (booty kind that I can't get on my feet) and a hard back book(after a whole conversation about preferring my kindle at the mo because I only get time to read when dd feeds and hardback are impossible to hold).all got from Tesco, which happens to be the only shop open after he finishes work.I could cry.zero thought has gone into the gifts,the card says basically, love you you're a good mum. Later we will be taking dcs park.I abu to whinge but I needed the moan.

YABU it's my birthday today and DH got me zilch, and I am 8 months pregnant with second baby :-( Can I have your slippers for my hospital bag? I'll pass on the gin though
..what was the book? I also got told my birthday is no different to any other day.

Just seen your are breastfeeding, can't you exchange the book for a cocktail recipe one and plan a lovely cocktail party for when you can have a tipple again?

Happy birthday blue !! The book was the new Tony hill, it has gone with the gin into my new "me time bag" as soon as dd either takes the odd bottle (or more likely weaned totally) I will be taking my "me bag" to a hotel for one night where I'll read my book and drink all some of my gin in total peace. More likely I'll lock my self in the bath rather than Go to a hotel but the outcome will be the same, peace, quiet drunken heaven.

Now THAT sounds like a plan!! Thank you, ds is at school at the mo so I have treated myself to a nap on the sofa and no housework. I also got some very naice ham from M&S and just had the nicest lunch in peace!
