A school in Derby has decided that a boy who sexually assaulted a girl can stay at the same school as the victim. Personally, I think this is appalling; imagine that poor girl running the risk of running into the little bastard.

How can someone who already has 2 acknowledged victims be at low risk of reoffending?

Doesn't surprise me. Dd left a school because a boy assaulted her (not sexual) many times. The school failed to do anything. 6 months later the not was expelled and turned up at dds new school. He assaulted her a further 3 times. The police charged him and still the school wouldn't remove him.

In another case I girl I know caught giving a blow job to a boy in the year above. she was expelled, he was not

as the mother said this would not be allowed at work, so why at school, feel very upset about this actually.

That is disgusting. He even admitted it! It's not like there was any sort of his word against hers dispute even.

If the girl was under 16 she could have prosecuted for rape. Not that that's necessarily a good idea, but the school should have treated it as a child protection/ safeguarding issue.

Thanks Nab , yeah he hasn't been near her since the police were involved. They moved to secindary this year. It's a big school with 360 pupils per year. She has no classes with him and rarely sees him. This school have actually been much better. We had a meeting to discuss what happened before she started and the school called the boy and his parents in to make clear that it would not be allowed and they would support police involvement of it happens again.

The learning manager for their year rings or emails each week to ensure everything is ok, too.

Just so frustrating when schools don't do anything to protect victims in their classroom.
