To send DS1 off to France, to learn about food, with a diabolical packed lunch.

He's going before dawn tomorrow morning as part of his Catering and Hospitality GCSE. He loves food, all food, but not particularly fussed about the quality. He enjoys good food, but still sees real junk as a treat.

They're going to be fed "what French families eat at home" while there away and have been "warned" it will be freshly cooked, with vegetables and not what they are used to Hmm

So, all food provided apart from a packed lunch for the journey. He has:

A Ginsters pasty
Giant Choc Chip cookie
Packet of salt and vinegar crisps
KitKat
Bottle of water

I was in late from work and left him with instructions to make/buy himself a packed lunch after school.

I could be worse, he did choose water to drink Grin

Brilliant! This really made me laugh. The Ginsters pasty = Madame, c'est parfait!

I'd probably worry he'd be hungry after that and do a couple of boiled eggs or something...but i'm a bit of a protein freak so see lack of protein everywhere atm!
