A friend has just recommended a mattress for me on fb as I said I was looking for one. The mattress has been given a female name by said company and the site makes innuendo jokes about "sleeping with x" or "spend a night with x"

This is apparently a multi million pound venture. Aibu to think its really inappropriate?

Nah, it's a gimmick. We used to make the same stuff up about my mum 'she's sleeping with prince valium tonight' when she took sleeping pills

Clearly that company is still living in the 1950s, not realising that women also have cash these days and will vote with their wallets.
