Yes, that's how I thought it was pronounced and how I'd pronounce how you've spelt it in the OP. What does Tess say that's different?

Just curious, haven't heard her say it. But i speak a little Spanish and I would say sal-sa, as did the dance instructor in Cuba

She pronounces the first syllable to rhyme with hall.

It should rhyme with al.

She is SO fucking annoying that the sollsa/sawlsa debate should be about 30th on the list behind repeating everything the judges say / constantly talking over them / gurn-laughing at every bloody thing etc etc ad nauseum

I'm continually amazed at how Tess is presenting one of the most high profile shows on TV. There are so many talented female presenters out there!

I particularly hate the way she says Janette Man RA RA. She clearly doesn't understand most of the judges' jokes. And it's cringy how she won't let go of the hands of the contestants. I could go on...
