To think that my best friends boyfriend is

a complete dickhead?

They haven't been together very long but live together, we both knew him a long time ago but they got back in touch through Facebook.

He is what I'd describe as a typical Daily Mail reader...he is a huge racist and often shares racist memes on Facebook, along with massive rants about people on benefits. He doesn't like kids which is fine, not everyone does but always makes remarks when we are around theirs with my LO. She's caught him doing drugs...

I am glad that my friend is happy with him, she deserves it after a few particularly shit boyfriends. Although I worried that she found out he'd been doing drugs, my friend doesn't take criticism well which is why I didn't say anything, I didn't want it to cause ructions between us.

I haven't told her I think he's a total dickhead because I don't feel the need to but I just needed to get it out. Deathstar's best friends boyfriend, you are a dickhead!!

Hmm. You are of course entitled to your opinion but I agree it's best kept to yourself! His views sound vile, but aren't incompatible with treating your friend well. And in the 'caught doing drugs' scenario it's the 'caught' aspect that worries me rather than the 'doing drugs' - ie sneaking/lying is a problem, doing drugs, depending on the situation, doesn't have to be. But sucks for you to have to hang around a dickhead! I'd take him to task about comments about your baby if he tries that again - she can't fault you for that.

"Glad my friend is happy, she deserves it after a few particularly shit boyfriends."
But he's a racist closed minded arse hole who berates children and picks on the poor, can it get much shitter.

It can't really can it, iliveinalighthouse! They've taken some serious steps together already in terms of their relationship so I think she's pretty settled on him...unfortunately. I'm glad that she is happy with him, even if he is a dickhead he must be doing something right for her I guess?
