DENTIST = MY WORSE FEAR

Due to have a tooth out in dentist chair next week - I am so scared as last time I fainted - best friend said she would come with me and has now just texted me to say she has made other arrangements!! I called her to ask her what she is doing - spending the day with another man other than her husband - she then remembered she was supposed to be coming with me! She half heaetedly offered to cancel so I told her not to worry I'll find someone else!!!! So upset that she forgot and also the reason she changing the plans!

So she has ditched her best friend to secretly meet up with a man who isn't her husband! Why is she meeting him if it's not sexual?

I would not be impressed at all by this from her. Do you have someone else you can ask?

How do you know what she's up to behind her DHs back, then....

Lots of handholding re dentist, hope it goes well.OK. Can they give ou a mind sedative? Do you hae someone to go alng with you?

A friend of mine is very nervous at the dentist and last time it was a new dentist. The event was traumatic for both. He ended the consultation with "Make another appointment in 2 weeks and we will try Vallium next time."
She said "I don't like the idea of using drugs like that". To which he came out with "Its not for you"

For reasons im not prepared to go into - I know it isn't sexual! Regardless im having to go on my own at the moment and im so scared!!!! My DH is asleep at the moment so will ask him if he can come? My sister will be at work! Also there isn't many people I trust to see me in that state because trust me it isn't going to be pretty!!!

@KarenMagee how nasty are you? Why on earth would you say that to someone who is obviously anxious and has a fear. I honestly can't believe I just read that!

@Quietlygoingmad67 it's really shitty what your friends done today. Deep breaths, it must be so hard facing a fear like that. Try and get your DH to support you and remember, dentists are professionals and used to seeing this. Good luck and ignore the vileness on here.

@stormzyinadcup I just advanced searched her, joined today, 2 comments on posts and both are absolutely vile! On the other one they told them that their child will kill them self if the op gives them a name they liked, and advised that they beat their son with a belt for liking the name. Obviously I’ve reported

I didn’t see the comment that has been removed and by the sound of it I’m quite glad I didn’t. This was 5 years ago and I’m
pleased to say that I’ve combatted my fear of the dentist by working with a lovely dentist who gives me acupuncture and has been very very patient with me - so I’m guessing my ‘friend’ did me a favour by making me address the issue I had :)

Didn’t change my name for any other reason than saw a thread where someone called the OP a pigeon and it made me laugh! ‘Friend’ and husband still together and happy and as far as I know are both behaving themselves
