Went to see her live - I've always been a fan but omg, she was quite simply fucking amazing!!

What an understated beauty she is!! I've just watched her "Queen of peace" video and I think that I'm legit in love with her. Such an awesome word smith too!!

Anyone else have girl crushes?? Anyone?

YABU. She doesn't sing, she wails.

Inlovewithflo · 28/09/2015 20:42

She doesn't wail, she has an amazing voice!! Such a charming woman.

YANBU, I saw her live a few years ago and she was phenomenal, such a transcendent beauty too.

I would leave my husband in a heartbeat if ever propositioned by Sara Ramierez (Callie from Greys Anatomy). There's was another one of these threads a while ago and someone else loved her too, I felt validated as a human being.

Inlovewithflo · 28/09/2015 20:46

Thank you welsh I see where you're coming from regarding Sara Ramierez.

Always regarded myself as heterosexual but I'm seriously beginning to think I'm bisexual haha.

Never been too bothered about labels myself, I've had relationships with men and women, I just see myself as being attracted to certain qualities within people Smile

Inlovewithflo · 28/09/2015 20:58

I like your perspective!

I get massive girl crushes too. Last one was angelina Jolie. I have kissed women and men but only slept with men and can't see me ever sleeping with a woman even if I do fancy a few of them Blush

Zippidydoodah · 28/09/2015 22:38

I think angelina jolie and Florence welch are both completely legitimate, and common ime, heterosexual girl crushes!

I have a bit of a crush on Lauren branning from eastenders!! Blush it's just in an appreciative way, rather than I want to get in her knickers kind of way....Blush (shut up now)

PitilessYank · 29/09/2015 00:34

I have a long-term crush on Queen Latifah. She's lovely.

Fatmomma99 · 29/09/2015 00:44

Oh where to start.

Zoe Ball, obvs
Caroline from the Archers (what do you mean she's fictional!) (but the actress, not the character!)
(these are OLLLLD crushes!)
Practically every RL woman I meet, because women are awesome.

I'll think about it seriously in a bit and come back with more.

I'm happily married, but have dabbled and would again....

PitilessYank · 29/09/2015 05:32

She is a fictional character, but I have a crush on Michonne from The Walking Dead. Those arms! Her beautiful face!

Sallystyle · 29/09/2015 05:39

Ruby Rose!

I love Jac Jossa (Lauren) as well. She is so beautiful.

Inlovewithflo · 29/09/2015 07:51

I can't say I find Ruby Rose all that attractive. In the nicest possible way, she's quite masculine looking. But then I suppose Florence is quite masculine looking too.

I've said this before, but I'd leave DH for Pauley Perrette (Abby in NCIS) Grin. She is absolutely stunning. I fancy a lot of women actually

PitilessYank · 29/09/2015 11:05

I just thought of another one, Jessica Lange! She has been brilliant and luminous in several seasons of American Horror Story.

PeasPleaseThankyou · 29/09/2015 11:30

I have a massive girl chrush on Flo too Blush I saw her live 3 years ago, she was amazeballs.

multivac · 29/09/2015 11:36

"...throwing herself around the stage like the Lady of Shalott reborn as a children’s TV presenter..." (The Observer review of Glastonbury)

^that's Florence, in a nutshell. Not my cup of tea in terms of a live performer (and therefore, crush), but I can listen to her music well enough.

floatyflo · 29/09/2015 11:37

Me too OP! Grin

MyNameIsRonnieFuckingPickering · 29/09/2015 11:37

I thought Sue Perkins was MN standard issue girl crush?

Florence looks too like Rupert Everett in St Trinian's for me to fancy. Plus, the warbling. No.

MyNameIsRonnieFuckingPickering · 29/09/2015 11:39

I just thought of another one, Jessica Lange! She has been brilliant and luminous

I was thinking 'That's an unusual one. But why not, isn't she great at solving all those crimes in Cabot Cove and writing crime novels at the same time'.

Then I realised that you didn't say Jessica Fletcher.

Theycallmemellowjello · 29/09/2015 11:50

Ugh - 'girl crush'. Come on, it's 2015. Stop with the heteronormative language. Florence wouldn't like it, that's for sure.

floatyflo · 03/10/2015 09:55

Theycallmemellow

What's wrong with saying 'girl crush'? bar it being a tad twee and cringey

Genuine question.
