GloGirl Jackie is the nurse in charge of an A&E in what appears to be a charity-funded hospital in New York.
She's supremely competent but addicted to prescription drugs following a work injury.
In the first series she conceals her marriage and two daughters. She loves her husband but is shagging the pharmacist who gives her drugs.
Her best friend is a rich and glamorous English doctor. The hospital is run by a woman who appears horrible but is really nice. There is an arrogant young doctor who has some form of Tourette's which makes him grope women's tits in times of stress.
There's a junior nurse who's very funny too.
