To dislike "Radical Feminism"

InternetPerson · 25/09/2015 21:15

I've got nothing against feminists that fight for womens rights and genuinely want the best the best for everyone and don't hate anyone, but "RadFems" tend to be full of bitterness and hatred. And I'm not just talking about kids, these are high profile, intelligent women with power and influence. Do you think it's unreasonable to dislike something where most people think men are inherantly evil and to be feared? Or do you think their hatred is fair and we should respect them for their good work in trying to make humans hate eath other even more?

Like, I said, I have nothing against Feminism, it's done a lot of great work down the years and still does, but "Rad Fem" and "Feminism" are too completly different things in my opinion. Is this a wrong conclusion?

That is the end of my participation in yet another derailing effort by you, Ego. Have a good one.

AnyFucker · 26/09/2015 21:32

Unedifying

Pathetic. Like my mother would say, you're making a show of yourself Ego.

You've had multiple selections yourself, Ego, under your various names. What conclusions should be drawn about you?

Saturday night. Endless repeats.

CoteDAzur · 26/09/2015 21:38

Last example, a post where I have actually said that I call you "she" because that is the polite thing to do:

CoteDAzur Mon 30-Jun-14 23:17:38
kim wants to be referred to as "she" so I call her "she". If she wanted to be called "it", I'd call her "it". Anything else would be rude and presumably hurtful and I don't see the point of that.

(Back then, you called yourself kim - 2 (3?) namechanges ago.)

Actually - I've only ever had 1 deletion.

One was for telling someone to fuck off. And that was on a thread about poverty.

Other deletions have involved me quoting replies to posts that have been deleted

Suuuure.

Didn't you even start a thread apologising for being an arsehole?

CoteDAzur · 26/09/2015 21:41

And that is the end of yet another bout of completely unnecessary & unpleasant exchange of the derailing disinformation variety with Ego Hmm

Jesus Ego - You just said up thread that no-one who's not trans can understand what it's like to grow up trans.

Similarly, RadFems believe that unless you grew up female, you can't understand what it's like to be female - Rad Fems just want the same rights you're saying you're entitled to - to self-define!

It's not that Rad Fems hate trans, it's that they don't understand what trans people have to do with feminism.

Also, we can pretty much summarise this thread with the old trope 'I'd be happy to support feminists, if only they asked nicely' can't we?

Sod that.

CoteDAzur · 26/09/2015 21:54

No, I said you are fucking lying.

I didn't call you a liar. That would be a personal attack.

You are also lying when you say you were only ever deleted once. Just under 1 user name: Here is 1, here is 2, here is 3, here is 4, here is 5, here is 6, and here is 7. That last one is where we have been deleted side by side. Good times Smile

And on that note, have a great evening with your Wine

FFS Ego - you come onto every single thread about feminism and make it all about you. It's so tedious.

I think you've made your point, several times over. I'm sure everyone heard you the first time. Can we move on now please?

Yes Ego, I understand. However we're talking about Rad Fems, and they don't feel that trans have any more part in feminism than men.

ChunkyPickle · 26/09/2015 22:02

No issues with trans. Issues with trans bullying feminists, and don't believe that they have any part.

Big difference.

I don't feel that onions should have any part in coleslaw (radical I know) but doesn't mean that I hate onions.
