I keep seeing the odd snippet in the press and on Facebook ( I know) and have to admit that generally speaking I think it is a very bad thing indeed .

TTIP??

Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

Do you want the NHS run by an American company?

Improving trade between the EU and the US = ace. "Harmonising markets" to facilitate that = fair enough. Accepting US standards on labour law, food regulation, environment impacts, etc = no no no.

Giving private companies the power to sue a future government if they introduce policies that make trade less favourable
No thanks

I think the thing that worries me the most is that the vast majority of people don't seem to be even aware of it or what the implications of it might be . It feels like it is being done without any real debate about the issues surrounding it .
