Such as oooooh I don't know, allegedly sticking their dicks inside the mouth of dead pigs?
Why?!
Especially when you've been groomed to be PM since you were in nappies.

Poor piggy :(

Is it the Piers Gaveston that's being mentioned in relation to this? (Haven't been near any news this morning.) Because that's fairly mild/standard for the kind of thing they got up to by all accounts, though it had gone more underground by the time I was up and aware of it. Tbh, if the voting public is mystifying happy with having Buller Dave as PM, I doubt that Piers Gaveston Dave, pig or no pig, will make much difference.

Agree with HesSpartacus. It's grim and I certainly wouldn't want to be SamCam right now- that mental image is enough to put you right off. But I don't think it's that bad; he was at uni, it's not like it was last week. PP's are right that this sort of carry on isn't restricted to posh boys in Oxbridge universities. Get a group of men together and they'll find their level, as with women. DP is a policeman in the forces. He has recently (within the last three years) had to investigate initiations where new recruits have had a broom stuck up their bum and told to sweep a corridor. Another where they hoovered someone's cock. I believe both of those ended in people getting prosecuted for sexual assault, and rightly so.

I was also speaking to an ex-army officer last week who told me a story about his men doing a kitty to dare someone to lick one of the other fellas' genital wart. The pot got up to something like a tenner before someone did it!

It's easy to be shocked and aghast in the cold light of day but really, when there's drink involved, a culture of disgusting stuff being hilarious and an incredible amount of peer pressure at play (plus the fact you're eighteen), there's not a lot that would be considered beyond the pale.

I had begun to supress my distrust of DC but with the advent on Corbyn as Labour Leader suddenly he did look by contrast the arrogant Flashman type. It's not really the pig that's the problem but the sycophantic fraternity looking on.

LovelyFriend · 21/09/2015 14:03

Ashcroft may indeed be a twunt but he's Dave Cameron's (very rich donation) twunt/former friend.

His actions can hardly come as a surprise to Dave.

I hate to think how much is now being spent on tracking down the alleged photographic evidence - hopefully not taxpayers money

TheThreeCheesesOfTheApocalypse · 21/09/2015 14:07

Well there's doing stupid things at uni.......and then, well then there's sticking your cock in a dead, pigs, gob.

Step to far imo, he deserves all the stick he gets. It's his kids I feel sorry for.

LovelyFriend · 21/09/2015 14:15

It's his kids I feel sorry for.
They will be trotting off to uni for some similar hi-jinks of their own before too long. Got to live up to daddy's example and all.

SaucyJack · 21/09/2015 14:36

I'm not horrified. I've never shoved a dead animal up my clunge, but I've done plenty of really, really stupid other things that I wouldn't want my mum to know about tho.

But I'm very pleased the story has come out tho. Anything that makes Shiny Dave look like the prick he is is fine by me.

PotatoGun · 21/09/2015 14:50

I've never shoved a dead animal up my clunge. Me neither, Saucy. Clearly we haven't lived. Grin But entirely agree on generally welcoming anything that tarnishes DC's shinyTeflon-ness, while admitting that porking a dead pig comes way lower on my priority list of his sins than his politics.

PrimalLass · 21/09/2015 14:55

Is anyone else disappointed that this was years ago rather than recently so we could have got rid of him?

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 21/09/2015 14:58

He should resign. It utterly disgusting if true. I suspect that Ashcroft's motive is securing the PM slot for someone else who will be more easily bought off.

MajesticWhine · 21/09/2015 15:03

How can "he should resign" coexist with "Ashcroft's motive is securing the PM slot for someone else who will be more easily bought off"

Should Ashcroft's motives and dirty dealings really dictate who our PM is rather than the democratic process?

sproketmx · 22/09/2015 15:02

I second that. When ur young you do stupid pointless things for fun except people who end up in the public eye get exposed in the press. Unlike us mere commoners who are the talk of the pub for a bit before it blows over.

mollie123 · 23/09/2015 09:11

the whole hysteria about this 'alleged' incident is so pathetic and the internet is encouraging it.
it would have been a banquet type pigs head (usually adorned with a mouthful of apple ) - not quite the same as some people put it - having sex with a dead pig. Blair should be held accountable for what he did when in office to a far greater extent.
I can see it could have been seen as a jolly jape if it really happened
but it was 30 years ago - assume no selfie was taken
the whole furore over it has diminished the standing of this country in the world and those who have lapsed into mass hysteria have made it far worse.
I don't particularly like David Cameron or agree with a lot of his policies but to call for his resignation over an uncorroborated allegation is pathetic IMO

HumphreyCobblers · 23/09/2015 09:16

There is no photo. It is hearsay. The person in the book HEARD he had done it and they included it in the book anyway.

Ashcroft is so cross he couldn't buy a job from David Cameron (why is no one bothered about his wish to BUY influence anyway?!) that he is seemingly prepared to say anything.

Making someone deny they had sex with a pig is an old tactic in politics, surely?

PigletJohn · 23/09/2015 19:07

it was a one-day funny story.

to wonder why politicians do stupid shit?
Oldraver · 23/09/2015 19:14

I cant for the life of me understand why we get het up about such things

So, someone when younger did something silly. It shouldn't matter if they turn out to be PM or a biman

If they are being hypocrtical, then thats different and I would rather they had the guts to own up
