To be childish enough to find this funny?

This is what happens when you're bored in the herbs & spices section of the supermarket. Not something I've done, but I'm very tempted!

Definitely a bored retail worker...:)

SewButtons · 16/09/2015 22:12

I have never done this but I used to work in Sainsburys and always had a giggle when people bought assorted toffees because the till screen shortened it to "ass toffee" . I occasionally buy them now just to see if the cashier will giggle.

blibblobblub · 16/09/2015 22:23

Raptor I take great delight in setting off every single one of the Christmas decorations/toys. No shame.

Grapeeatingweirdo · 16/09/2015 22:29

I logged in just to say hahahaha! That made me giggle out loud, making DP look over at me like I was on something. Childish? Me? Very!

Here's my offering Wink
Asda, Telford, shortly before the disapproving looking lady assistant returned.........I'm pretty sure she thought it was the kids in front of me!

Grin YANBU. All of these are hilarious!

elephantoverthehill · 16/09/2015 22:39

I was laughing about this and DC2 came to ask if I was alright. He said the characters in 'Captain Underpants' do this. I replied no one would suspect a DM though. I think the examples are great, but I think there is a missed opportunity for greater subversion than just naughty words.

SaucyJack · 17/09/2015 00:13

Is it 2008? Everyone else has been doing this for years.

frankie001 · 17/09/2015 00:32

I went to a shop that had a make your own bunting section the other day.

In Matalan once they had stacking drawers with 'Home' on them. My mum and I replaced the 'e' drawer with an 'o' drawer from another stack.

I still harbour a secret hope that someone bought the set of drawers without checking, and has drawers that read 'HOMO'.

We also do the competition to see who can make the rudest word out of spices. TITTIES and POOPS are particular favourites.

ErrolTheHamster · 17/09/2015 06:40

You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone to discover a herb or spice beginning with 'U'... (a 'K' one wouldn't go amiss either)

LegArmpits · 17/09/2015 07:22

My DH changed a lamp in BHS that said LOVE to VOLE. I'm still laughing two weeks later.

AristotlesTrousers · 17/09/2015 07:38

Rearranging supermarket shelves definitely needs to become my new hobby. DP will enjoy it too! Grin

LoveChickens · 17/09/2015 07:39

I don't normally have years in my eyes from laughter, but in my defence, today I'm a bit

Harissa
Unsalted peanuts
Nigiri
Garlic granules
Oregano
Verbena
Egg Noodles
Rosemary

I have to say I didn't do it or take the photo - someone posted it on my FB feed recently and I laughed a lot! Grin

BoffinMum · 17/09/2015 16:18

This has cheered me up no end.
There will be MNetters all over British supermarkets now being childishly nefarious with scented candles and herbs.
Quite wonderful.

Tartanbeachhut · 17/09/2015 16:27

Excellent I'm actually looking forward,to my next supermarket, shop.

McPie · 17/09/2015 16:42

I may possibly have told my niece (15) about this in Tesco recently much to my mums dismay Grin, the 22 year age gap does not apply each Tuesday when we go food shopping as we are as bad at each other but shopping is so dull!
