Just watching news review and there's comments about his clothes, beard, etc. I am personally happy he's won but would feel equally uncomfortable if they were discussing the clothing choices and facial hair of anybody else that had won. Really, what has anything like that got to do with how well he does or dosnt do the job.

I love the way he dresses. Hope he doesn't get a make over.

They did it to Michael Foot, too. The stushie over his duffel coat at the Cenotaph puzzled me then, and still does now.

I actually think we should all be kicking up more of a fuss, if Yvette or Liz had won and the news and papers were full of comments about their appearance, am I wrong in thinking they'd be a lot more objection?

Be grateful it wasn't a women because then DM would be full of "sporting a firey red jacket" etc

Las an aside I do think it matters as it's an indication of how you associate dress with profession eg who are you likely to trust more professionally- a doctor in suit with white coat or doctor in leggings tunic and white coat- both do same job and arguably leggings more practical for role but we gravitate the profession to the outfit.
Personally someone scruffy can't be bothered to be smart, it's not about what they're wearing per se but smart being interested and in control

Exactly, he wore a suit when it mattered. If you knew your doctor wore leggings on their day off woujd you not trust them anymore?
