Up at 05:30 CET, in the office at 07:00, did get lunch through judicious planning, but earlier than I would have liked.
7 hours of telephone conferences. Left office to find that some idiot had scraped my car, badly. No note, nothing.
Consumed a lot of gin.
This is not a life!

Yes. But only in gin related activities.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 09/09/2015 00:17

Seconded.

Only the gin related part. Will tomorrow be any easier?

Moopsboopsmum · 09/09/2015 05:38

I wish I had a job. So yes.

TheCrowFromBelow · 09/09/2015 05:58

I've been awake since 2.37 worrying about my job Sad so maybe.

I'd skip the gin though as I think it's alcohol that makes me wake up.

hebihebi · 09/09/2015 06:00

You know this is going to turn into Ripping Yarns, right?

TheoriginalLEM · 09/09/2015 06:05

it doesn't sound too bad - apart from the car. Brew for your hangover

Biscuit
PedantPending · 09/09/2015 06:34

No hangover.
Going in later today as the first meeting isn't until 09:30 :-)
(and I want to walk about the car park looking for evidence).

Apart from the car and the gin (suggest wine as a replacement) doesnt sound that bad a day. I had a fire drill in middle of redressing a patients ulcers on monday which was fun as i had to get said patient outside but protect their wounds and modestly. Put us all behind the rest of the day. Wouldn't change my job for the world though as i get to meet some very interesting people and make a huge difference to them (i hope).

hebihebi · 09/09/2015 08:08

Sorry not Ripping Yarns, it was Monty Python. Was it really so long ago?

Sounds like a shit day to me.

Also Sounds like you work on the continent. I always dread going to Europe to work (usually Brussels or Vienna for me) because they all start so bloody early in the morning and constantly make digs about how the Brits work half days because they don't start until 9am. Still the office coffee is excellent and I get to eat out on expenses so not all badGrin
