Everywhere I look there is stripes! Just been into harborough and everywhere I look there it is, in shops, people wearing it.I thought stripes were supposed to make people look bigger?

I don't get threads like this. Why do you CARE? Honestly, why?!

ifgrandmahadawilly · 07/09/2015 11:41

I thought this was going to be a thread about migraines.

ExitPursuedByABear · 07/09/2015 11:42

YABU - I love stripes.

Me too. Love stripes they accentuate the tiny waist I have worked very hard at.

CakeNinja · 07/09/2015 12:24

70% of ds wardrobe is stripy, I love them!
Don't wear them myself but love them on small people.

CaptainTripps · 07/09/2015 12:29

Agree with pinkparker. May I add I am also mystified as to why people have such an abhorrence for Crocs and Uggs and go on about that.

JassyRadlett · 07/09/2015 12:31

Try being pregnant. Pregnant women are only allowed two fabrics: Stripes, or inexplicably, maroon.

I'll take stripes out of that choice, please.

GladiatorsInSuits · 07/09/2015 12:32

I prefer spots. When I met DP he had cups and some had spots on and some had stripes, and I swear tea tasted better from the spotty ones.

Lancelottie · 07/09/2015 12:36

Or maroon stripes, Jassy?

PerspicaciaTick · 07/09/2015 12:42

Everyone knows that vertical stripes are more flattering than horizontal ones...so why are clothes for fat women only made with horizontal stripes, hmm, hmm?

It is an evil conspiracy. I tell you!

My username could be pronounced BerylStripe in Australia - does that count?

Its true about pregnancy stripes!! I was kept overnight in hospital last month and wore a stripy top the first day and obviously a very similar stripy top the next day and the midwife was very concerned that no one had come from home with a change of clothes for me, as she remembered what i wore the day before. All i have is stripes!! People must think i don't wash my clothes.

AlphabetStew · 07/09/2015 12:53

Stripes are okay but zig zags are where it's really at. Not silly little 'chevrons' either, three lines minimum with at least four zips and corresponding zags.

harboromummy · 07/09/2015 20:52

ZigZags?!

Lottie, that sound you hear is me sobbing.

toptomatoes · 08/09/2015 15:05

Looooove stripes! It's like an easy uniform - stripy top, jeans, vans, done. Yes, people may think I do not wash my clothes but meh.

Pyjamaface · 08/09/2015 15:06

I love stripes but my wardrobe is rapidly approaching peak-stripyness so it is a pain.

However, horizontal stripes are more flattering because you don't warp the stripe. Vertical stripes are only good if you have no lumps or bumps at all
