...to kind of want San Marino to win?

Watching the match with my DS & DH.
The commentator has just mentioned a San Marino player who couldn't join the team's 7 week training programme because he owns a bar & couldn't get cover staff over the summer.
The previous manager had 1 win in 15 years!
Oh no, they've just lost a dodgy penalty now! Confused

We are a football mad house, Spurs Arsenal, me and our local team.

I do however, enjoy the underdog, shoving it right up England in matches like this before we win.

Come on San Marino!

PedantPending · 05/09/2015 18:27

I am not a huge football fan, but I was in Frankfurt this week and happened to be staying at the same hotel as the German national team.
It was very interesting!

Saw lots of them, Joachim Löw several times, I think he is gorgeous.
All milling around in the courtyard. Bus in the driveway with the 4 stars on it for being world champions 4 times. Quite a lot of security and a little gaggle of "fans" (teenage girls around 14 or 15) waiting outside every afternoon/evening.
Staff rather more attentive than usual, I was Mrs PedantPending at every opportunity.

Oysterbabe · 05/09/2015 20:07

I love an underdog too. That's why supporting England is good most of the time Smile
We're a saints household.

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 05/09/2015 20:26

Derxa - I'm Welsh, we've just remembered we have a team. More than welcome to join in on the five minutes that will last for Wink. Only time I support England is during the ashes, because the only thing worse than an Englishman, is a bloody Aussie Grin.

I am not a huge football fan, more rugby, but the future Mr. Pedantpending is and he was massively jealous as he is out of town at the moment. Tee hee!
