Update: Refugees: 12th of September and Downing Street tonight

I appreciate that the other thread was getting quite long so to those who have read it previously and might not have seen later postings:

*There is a march happening at noon on 12 September, organised by Solidarity with Refugees, which as many of us as possible are going to join, carrying banners saying #couldbemychild;

• The march starts from Marble Arch and ends at Downing Street;

• We are tweeting about it and would like to get the hashtag #couldbemychild trending if at all possible.

• In addition, Summertime and I are going to go back to Downing Street tonight with our banner, between 7 and 8pm. Please join us if you are free.

In answer to your question on the other thread, just tell your MP you want them to stand up and say the UK government is going to help these refugees. That they are people who deserve our compassion.

My DP picked the worse week to go away! Would love to join you tonight but have no childcare and it's a long train journey

I am definitely going to be there on the 12th though and have recruited others via Facebook etc so will see everyone there [smile?
