AIBU To want to pop DS's (11) huge spot on his nose?

DS, who has suffered bullying and already hates school with a passion, has a doozy of a pus spot on his nose. First day back tomorrow - including the evil micro-world that is the school bus. Should I take a sterilised needle and some Savlon to it? I haven't mentioned it but suspect he'll try and sort it himself if I don't. He's very conscious of it. It's huge and his only one. ????

YY do it, with a camera in the other hand! I've got a really big, deep one just on the back of my shoulder so I can't quite reach it to squeeze. I'm going to have to ask DH to do it while I hold up an array of mirrors to watch but it's not as satisfying as doing it myself.
