Y6 child due to go to france for a week at the end of this month with the school. Thats a big enough thing, for me, as I worry. But all the chaos around Calais/the tunnel, the strikes etc, the swarms of migrants in the queueing traffic, the riot police etc.
Does anyone know whether there is any advice to schools etc to change the port they were planning on using? DDs secondary school got held up because of the strikes earlier in the summer and they had to find emergency accomodation for a coachful and were over 24 hours later home, but I can't help thinking its somehow worse for primary ages?
