I joined LA on a three month membership at the end of June. Since then I have been so unimpressed with their service compared to the other three gyms that I've been a member at.
Since joining I've gone there for classes about 2/3 times a week. 3 times I have turned up to find that they have been cancelled (this happened once during the 9 months I was a part of my previous gym). This happened last Tuesday, when I turned up I was told that they had rung everyone who was booked into the class... Except they hadn't, as I was booked in and that was the first I had heard of it.
I think they are currently in the middle of being bought out by another group, because I have heard personal trainers and instructors talking to customers (not other staff) that some of the reasons that they are cancelling classes is because instructors aren't being paid on time and are trying to move to other gyms.
Speaking of personal trainers, when I signed up I paid an extra £10 for a locker padlock, a voucher for a weight loss club, one personal training session etc. Having signed up for my personal training session the week after I joined, I am yet to hear anything about when it will take place. I gave them pretty much any time in the week to do it! I doubt it will even happen before my membership expires.
So today, I booked a spin class for 7:30pm. I know it's a bank holiday, but the class showed up online and let me book so of course I thought the class would be on. I turned up, gym is locked up. I don't even think I was the only one as another person pulled into the car park while I was there and turned around.
So that's it. AIBU to think that all of this is not on? I don't even know what I want them to do about it, I just want to complain about how terrible they are.
Is this only my branch? Or are they all this terrible?
