Even mobile numbers are preferable. I can use my generous allocation of 900 minutes a month on them.

In a determined effort to avoid them and not give them one red cent of my money I will look up every 0845, 0870, 0871, 0844 and so on
on saynoto0870.com and then use their geographical number on my bt plan at no extra cost.

Does anyone else go to those lengths to avoid them.

Yep - I opened your thread to direct you to saynoto0870 but it seems you already use it!

I tend to think that all companies should be obliged to give a proper phone number.
