Like the site used to allow.
I'd like a clarification on mn policy on this.

It was Fergie's dresser who was jailed.

BrendaandEddie · 31/08/2015 13:50

as an adult i have met a few people who were like Diana must have been, The type who presents as totally normal, then you realise that actually most of what they tell you is utter fantasy

Omg that Sheherezade Goldsmith (who I had never heard of) thread was fucking brutal, no wonder she bottled the web chat!

Different times......very different times.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 31/08/2015 14:13

I think saying you don't like a celeb because of opinions they hold or the company they keep etc is valid, they are living in the public eye and open to criticism.

The Rita thread was horrible and all random speculation, totally different from a genuine critique or a light hearted poke. I'm glad mn saw the difference, as they said when you took all the egregious posts out there wasn't much of a thread left, which proves it went to far. There are a lot of posters who are long term posters but have name changed recently, hence a lot of new posters. When I read threads like that I fear what the future holds for my daughter, in a way I wouldn't for my son.

KanyeWestPresidentForLife · 31/08/2015 14:16

As they said ^^ that was Fergie's dresser. Fergie was apparently very nice to her staff (although not Andrew).

Jephson described working with Diana and watching her treatment of her staff was like 'watching a slowspreading pool of blood seeping from under a locked door'.

TheSpottedZebra · 31/08/2015 14:18

Diana was very friendly to some of her protection officers however.

wickedwaterwitch · 31/08/2015 14:19

The Jon Ronson thread was hilarious - was that the one where his wife asked if we were rocking in our chairs in institutions? (Will look at links now)

There were various rumours about the reasons behind the Sherazaddd or however you spell it thread being allowed to stand

wickedwaterwitch · 31/08/2015 14:23

Ha ha it was, look!

Wow! What a response! You're right, it is weird to get upset about people making nasty, puerile comments about one's husband. I think I was just surprised that such poison would emanate from a website for mums. Although seeing how much time you all spend on this I can't believe you are mums. Are you all in institutions?"

BrendaandEddie · 31/08/2015 14:39

i loved when we were brutal. IMo there is far more 'polite' aggression ont eh threads now,

For eg see that one about moving to the north - utterly horrible to the OP

Also the uniting against a common external threat is LOST when we can't slag slebs

The Jon Ronson thread was a gentle, funny roasting, it wasn't cruel.

DoctorTwo · 31/08/2015 15:04

I didn't have a clue who Rita Ora is, I had an inkling she could be the heiress to the Kia Ora fortune, but no, the nest of vipers and the internet tell me she's a singer. I've had a listen and it's not really my thing.

SideOrderofChips · 31/08/2015 15:29

Who the Fuck is Rita Ora? Is that like Ki Ora from when we were kids?

SixtyFootDoll · 31/08/2015 17:01

Posters were far nastier to an OP on here yesterday who was off sick and had an FB issue with a colleague.
People demanding to know why she was off sick, what her sick record was, why she was on FB.

I'm sure Rita Ora couldn't give a toss whether we like her or not.

And if she is bothered then she might want to rethink her career

Behooven · 31/08/2015 17:20

squooshed if anyone/thing needs an internet roasting it's that cult!

Ironfistfunkymum · 31/08/2015 19:52

Posters were far nastier to an OP on here yesterday

Exactly! Its the hypocrisy of letting far far nastier stuff stay. Fishy.

BertrandRussell · 31/08/2015 20:10

That Jon Ronson thread made me sad. All the missing people.Sad. I'm sure people were wittier in the dim and distant days beyond recall..........
