Our house is up for sale. In our lounge we have a long white TV bench with an orchid on. The orchid only had 1 flower and a flower bud left on it.
On Saturday morning we had a viewing, done by the agents, so we vacated. On our return I went to turn the TV on and notice the orchid only had one flower bud on, and the opened flower had gone. I assumed it had fallen off so tried to find it to stop our toddler eating it. I couldn't find it anywhere so assumed it had come off another time and its already been thrown away (though I was sure it was attached to the plant when we left, but I assumed I was mistaken) andni forgot about it.
On Tuesday afternoon the same people wanted a second viewing so again we went out. As i picked up my keys from the tv bench i womdered whether to hide the sorry looking orchid as it was now just a stick with one bud, but as the toddler was whining at the door, i just left. On my return, the last flower bud was gone meaning I now have a stick in a pot!? I again looked for otnto stop it getting eaten and it was nowhere to be found. The TV bench s plain white, has nothing around it, and is on 6 inch legs on a wood floor so you think it would be obvious to find it if it was there.
I can't think of an explanation that isn't "weird house viewers destroying my plant" but that's too weird to be possible... Isnt it???
