As the title really. I find lots of things posted on here offensive so I ignore them but others get posts removed etc. Why?

Some people report, some people don't. Ah the melting pot of life on a forum.

Sirzy · 25/08/2015 18:17

Well if you don't report it then how would MNHQ know you find it offensive?

Unhappyuser · 25/08/2015 18:18

I don't think some things would be removed thoug. For example, I find the swearing offensive but that's part of mumsnet so has to be accepted

If everything that offended someone was removed there wouldn't be much left

Also, I suppose it depends why something is considered offensive. You might say I have shite taste in music, that would offend me, but I don't think it would be grounds for deletion. On the other hand if you made racist comments that would be both offensive and deletable.

You've answered your own question then. I love a thread with a simple conclusion!

Because its up to the owner of the site to say what is acceptable on their site, and not you.

Did you somehow think that your opinion represented some kind of objective offense-ometer?
