Like the sodding Nationwide one, and John Lewis ones.
I love both companies but I hate the ads.

Tell me about the thing you sell, don't try to make me have emotions.

this may be all to do with the way it's all family stuff and I don't have a family, maybe I'm just getting old and bitter

I do have a family and I find them sick making too - so it's not that!

I think it's just because they're bloody awful!

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:14

That's good to hear Thursday I never know when I'm drifting into deranged cat lady territory.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 23/08/2015 18:15

they make me want to puke

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:16

So it's not just me who tell them to fuck off then?

Jasonandyawegunorts · 23/08/2015 18:16

I hate that bank one with the man and his ungreatful daughter who wants a tree house, then isn't happy when he builds it.

Little brat, and her sister in the add is turning out the same way.

Hnabiz · 23/08/2015 18:19

Yes the bank ones are really shit. Pretending they are some cuddly organisation not some evil bank that almost brought down the country.

I recon if I got into debt with the nationwide they would not be cuddly to me.

TheHappinessTrap · 23/08/2015 18:19

I have to look away when the nationwide advert comes on. Oh looks at me expectantly in order to enjoy my shedding a tear over the damned thing!

seanbonbon · 23/08/2015 18:20

Oh good lord, the one for a bank and the girl working in the hairdressers tells the sweet old ladies she made her dress herself so they all club together their pensions so she can go to college... Fuck right off Hmm

They probably end up living in porridge with no central heating so she can become a fashion designer of all things - get a proper job!! Ugh... I hate it. So condescending.

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:20

Oh and the one where the foster family all have KFC. I bastard hate that one.

OP posts:
TPel · 23/08/2015 18:21

I hate all adverts, perhaps bar the aldi/lidi I can't remember which one, with the old lady who doesn't like tea she likes gin.

seanbonbon · 23/08/2015 18:24

The Aldi ads almost make up for every other ad on the telly - love them ????

Jasonandyawegunorts · 23/08/2015 18:28

Then there are the glade ones, I’m not talking about the poo at Pauls advert, but the one that says, "We know if you made an air freshener it would look like this." And it's some horrible grey misshapen Sense & Spray tube thing.

zeezeek · 23/08/2015 18:32

And the impossibly young couple in the NatWest ad who seemingly get a mortgage on a nice big house with a mahoosive garden - in reality they would spend 20 years saving up the deposit on a tiny little one bed flat in a shitty area....

nicestrongtea · 23/08/2015 18:33

I loathe the JL one.
Bloody child - she would be told to pack it in straight away!
JL always do the sweetdemonic child adverts Hmm

I like the "someone is after a new laptop ones" particularly the pug one - hes going -WTAF!

LockedOutOfMN · 23/08/2015 18:35

Agree, like the Coke one with to the kids with elderly/gay/adoptive parents and the KFC one with the foster children. Bloody awful.

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:39

Zee it that the one where the ad is narrated by the child talking about how mum and dad used to live at their parents then they bought a big house so they could have him? Cocking well hate that one.

OP posts:
MrsGentlyBenevolent · 23/08/2015 18:41

'Teddy is very very not well'. You want a chocolate for poisoning my poor ears with terrible grammar? More like bed with no dinner, child.

The Lloyd's pharmacy advert on 4od, the one that sponsors Countdown. Has some obnoxious little girl, keeps catching her dad trying to leave work, runs up to him with a pukesome 'daddy how are you today?'. Had enough, started adding our own replies, such as 'still wishing you were adopted' or 'you're the reason I have a drinking problem'. It just never changes, before and after every damn ad break....

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:42

And and and and the one for SMA or the like where they say 'don't worry mum's you're doing great'. Fuck you. How do you know that for a start, some mums are shit and fuck off with all your patronising balls while you're about it.

OP posts:
Pipbin · 23/08/2015 18:43

*mums not mum's

"Oh good lord, the one for a bank and the girl working in the hairdressers tells the sweet old ladies she made her dress herself so they all club together their pensions so she can go to college... Fuck right off..."

And it's such a plain, boring skirt too - a basic A-line skirt that I could make without a pattern - but wouldn't need to, because there are already plenty of them. She hasn't designed something unique or special, has she? I am wearing a skirt that is more interesting than her skirt - and I made it to my own design, without a pattern - but no-one is sending me off to be a fashion designer!

zeezeek · 23/08/2015 21:19

Pipbin - yes, that's the one. It is soooo annoying.

And as for the JL one with that young girl, well no-one with kids would have a probably expensive cos JL is glass vase on a coffee table.

I am loving the pug though.

And I aspire to be the old woman in the Aldi ad!

redshoeblueshoe · 23/08/2015 21:35

Blush I like the new JL advert and the aldi ones but not the mcvities one with the puppies

D0G · 23/08/2015 21:38

I hate the always one. "It's 5 am and I've been out all night and I'm on my period" camera shows 4 beautifully dressed made up young girls. In RL one would be carrying shows the girl on her period with the White (wtf) shorts would be stained, one would have a kebab and one would be crying. Not linked arms laughing with joy.

D0G · 23/08/2015 21:39

shoes

Pipbin · 23/08/2015 21:44

Exactly D0G. No one has panda eyes either.
