to wonder if this toy is saying something obscene?

DS got a VTech Toot-Toot Animals Chicken Coop as a birthday present, which includes a chicken that is very eager to tell us that it is Cheerful (TM), and shouts "come and XXXX with me" at regular intervals.

Neither DP or I can work out what XXXX is, it's not very clear. Can anyone who's got one of these things enlighten us?

Probably cluck.

My daughter once had one of those head frames, it was farmyard themed. With judicious and dexterous button pressing you could make it say 'fuck a pig farmer!' I miss that you:o

Bead frame, not head frame!

Cluck I would assume?

slightlyglitterpaned · 23/08/2015 13:24

Cluck makes sense, but it doesn't sound like a "uck" - more like "ook"

There used to be a puzzle game for consoles that had a character who shouted what sounded like 'gonads' every so often. It was a game for children so I don't think it really was that, but I've never figured out what it actually was.

caroldecker · 23/08/2015 14:44

I would assume toot

G1veMeStrength · 23/08/2015 14:45

Could it be peck?

slightlyglitterpaned · 23/08/2015 16:54

Wish I could attach a sound sample! Toot & peck - good suggestions, but doesn't sound like either. Haven't been able to try it out till now as DS was napping.

My brother used to have a fire engine which shouted what sounded like "Emergency! Bible on fire!"

slightlyglitterpaned · 23/08/2015 18:39

PMSL at religious fire engine Grin

Listening to it earlier, realised there seem to be two female voices used. The one urging us to come and XXook with her has an accent like that actress who plays the stupid chicken in Chicken Run (not the one who gets eaten).

I am rubbish at accents though so don't know what that is, but erm, would it turn "cluck" into "clook"?

ovenchips it was this one:o

That is a Yorkshire accent if it's the one I'm thinking of. And yes that accent turns up into oop.

SouthWestmom · 23/08/2015 23:20

Could it be chook?

Theresadogonyourballs · 23/08/2015 23:22

My brother used to have a Lion King book where you pressed buttons to hear the characters speak. When you pressed the one for Rafiki, (the monkey), it used to cheerfully sing, "squashed bananas up his arse". It was clear as day, used to make me titter!

Rainbowlou1 · 23/08/2015 23:26

My son plays peppa pig on my phone and I swear he says at the beginning 'choose a slut to play a game'
