This past week has seen, in my opinion an increase in vitriol and negativity toward other members. Is my perception incorrect or have others noticed this?

That's very kind TBW but not entirely true. Grin

Although a war zone may be easier to smooth than some of the bonkers threads that go on on here....

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 17/08/2015 00:00

Either way a handbag company or factory is pretty cool HD. Do you get involved in the design end of things?

FourDebSake · 17/08/2015 00:00

mean... hmm, if I put a problem on here, if I try to explain all the back story I risk being boring, let's face it, I am actually asking to be judged, while not being able to explain all the circumstances.... unavoidable that plenty of replies will give a"solution" which comes across as mean. is the nature of the beast isn't it?

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 17/08/2015 00:02

Hearts is right.
and we still need more pretentious names for certain rooms in my house

WorraLiberty · 17/08/2015 00:03

I'd love to work for MNHQ

I'd sit there nosing through the name changes with a look of shock and disdain on my face Grin

bumbleymummy · 17/08/2015 00:03

Not really Sparkling - I try not to let someone's opinion on one thing put me off them on other threads. Sometimes you can disagree on one thing and completely agree on another. A few hold some against me though! It can get a bit tiresome but MN is a big place and the lovely MNers outnumber them :)

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 17/08/2015 00:03

Worra

and remember the gin on tap

Sparklingbrook · 17/08/2015 00:06

With all the namechanging that goes on I can hardly remember what anyone said about anything bumbley.

I have a lot of topics hidden though, and some subjects I CBA to post on a thread about.

HoneyDragon · 17/08/2015 00:06

I'm allowed to get my crayons out yes Grin, we've not long bought them them out. I can't link to who we supply to as I'd be in trouble with them there HQers on high for advertising.

But I'm having to behave myself as its really tempting to go onto that thread and just go "oh I bought a factory because I like mine custom made" because if your going to be a twat you should go big. No point being a bit of a twat when you can be a massive twat. Grin

sleeponeday · 17/08/2015 00:08

It's nothing new, here or online more generally, I don't think. I do get angry when people post about real problems and get attacked needlessly. A lot of people posting here are desperate and don't know where to turn, and have stumbled into an anonymous forum as a last resort. Watching them get leapt on by a professional cunt infuriates me. The sort of person who salivates at the prospect of kicking a woman that on her knees needs to bugger off to Ebay and bid on a soul.

HoneyDragon · 17/08/2015 00:10

Yes but all forums get people who exclusively post maliciously for shits and giggles, I think we get extra because of the lure of easy name changes.

pigsDOfly · 17/08/2015 00:16

I've been on here probably about 3 years - lurked for ages before posting - and don't believe it's changed at all.

I've seen jaw dropping nastiness from time to time and I seen support that has just amazed and touched me.

Don't think that's changed.

Don't think it's particularly nasty at the moment; AIBU has always been a bit spiky; if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen, and if it gets really nasty, report.

Whiskwarrior · 17/08/2015 00:48
ghostspirit · 17/08/2015 00:55

op there are some comments that can be quite nasty and there are poster that pick at the op/poster. but the nicer posters far out weigh the ones that are not very nice.

HoneyDragon · 17/08/2015 00:56

I don't know Whisk

but give me a hand getting rid of this kitchen sink would you?

Whiskwarrior · 17/08/2015 01:00

Oh, Honey, you know I would but bad shoulder so...

True story.

HoneyDragon · 17/08/2015 01:04

Oh fuck it....

I shall just tip it down this convenient hole then.

Ignore the screaming sounds that's just wind whistling through the plug hole

didyouwritethe · 17/08/2015 01:07

I do like your post, sleeponeday. Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 17/08/2015 01:13

has this thread run it's intended course yet or not?
If yes, I will tell you about a nice salad I made yesterday for a friend's party

Whisk you are not rude, you're just an MNerGrin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 17/08/2015 01:44
