I know starting a thread about facebook in general is classed as unreasonable on mumsnet so apologies in advance Grin

I uploaded a pic of DD (11 months) earlier looking all cute and what not. Lots of family/friends 'liked' it and commented, including ex SIL. She said 'wow when did she get so big?'

Ex BIL and SIL haven't visited since DD was 1 week old. They've moved house in the last month or so which I understand is a very busy and stressful time but still. She's almost a year old now!

I replied saying 'DD was only a week old the last time you saw her, she's grown quite a lot! Grin' I added the smiley face so that it didn't seem bitchy.

Does it seem bitchy? Should I delete?

I'd leave it.
My aunt said the same thing about my 16 month old recently. I wanted to say: - Well, it is only the 2nd time you've ever seen him as you have made not one jot of effort to ever visit us!
But I didn't.
I just laughed and said 'Yeah, they do that.'
Perhaps you could add a 'lol'?

No it doesn't sound bitchy to me

Doesn't sound nasty on either side. Light conversation.
