To think that giving me the money for flowers (I bought with the shopping) is not the same as buying me flowers? [Lighthearted}

My - generally unromantic - DP spotted the dozen red roses I bought myself and gave me a tenner for them (They were £6 in shop, but actually free as I had a money off voucher)

He thinks the £10 was a nice gesture - seeing as I was in the shop anyway and picked them up. I think it was lazy and there is no way he should get to take credit for the lovely flowers as I picked them and bought them.

I have taken the tenner for my wine though

Who is BU?

HIBU.

Next time he has a wank, crack your knuckles and say "you're welcome".

Ha! mrs Grin

He is unreasonable of course, I don't understand why it's so difficult to be spontaneous and romantic every now and again, apparently the unmedicated, unassisted, unaccompanied birth of his first and only daughter was not enough to merit a bunch of flowers from my Dp, God knows what I have to do to actually get one!
