To start killing spiders

Just opened my door to pee and there as a mas dive golf ball sized long legged brown spider outside my door. I woke up my cat to go hunt it and she is but i wish I just threw my slipper on it.
I hate killing spiders but I'm so scared of them. He's obviously come up from the floorboards since im redoing my floor but I have to move stuff out of a cupboard tomorrow and I'm scared he will run out if my cat doesn't catch him!

I have been power washing my windows/decking today. I killed about 20 spiders. 10 of them were big lads and I still have the creeps. I'm looking out the patio doors at the knots in the wood decking trying to see if any "knots" are actually spiders I need to kill.

Garlick, I genuinely would have to move out of the house if that was in my attic.

Lazyloulou I too flea spray my house twice a year and there are very rarely any crawling insects at all. I'm also scared of moths Tortoise and butterflies although I'm getting slightly better. In summer and autumn the windows are only open in the day, as soon as its vaguely dark all windows are shut to prevent a moth getting in.

YABU.

I love spiders. DH is scared of them but would never hurt them. Like a pp , I just remove them humanely from the house. Job done.

I kill spiders. My DP is scared of any spider bigger than 5mm. And yes, I'm female and my DP is male.
I don't want to take them outside as they will come back in.

I can't sleep now as was just woken up by a tickling feeling on my face which I brushed off and ignored thinking it was my hair. 3 minutes later and I felt the same sensation on my ankle and that's when I knew I had company.

Bloody huge spider!!! The stupid cat was just led on the bed, not earning his keep at all!

I woke dh and was telling him to roll out of bed (his side, as the spider was now just next to him) stupid man rolled over the bed, squashing the spider (and the cat) and off my side.
