Who is all over social media, claiming to have made contact with Cecil the lion, and to have received a remarkably articulate message from him?

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 03/08/2015 15:49

Suspicious of someone who claims to be able to talk to dead animals?

Shocker. What tipped you off?

Do tell us what makes you suspicious of Dr Dolittle.? Wink

givemushypeasachance · 03/08/2015 16:10

The tagline on her website is "Connecting you with all animals Living or deceased... And your departed human loved ones..." - so yeah, I can smell the bullshit from here.

RagstheInvincible · 03/08/2015 16:31

She must have a real headache if she ever walks near Smithfield Market.

RosePetels · 03/08/2015 17:27

Don't believe a word she says

We will never know the truth will we? Animals dont 'speak' when they are alive. She is on a win win all round. People fall for it too. Sounds suspicious she spoke to Cecil though. Very sinister i think. Some people will do anything for publicity.

Welshmaenad · 03/08/2015 17:49

For a Zimbabwean lion he speaks remarkable English, too.

GraysAnalogy · 03/08/2015 17:50

Of course YANBU. I made a thread about it on Friday, can't believe the shite she comes out with.

Anniegetyourgun · 03/08/2015 17:54

No, no, I explained that on the other thread. He "speaks" as one soul transferring its feelings to another, she translates it into the written word.

Whoever knew that lions were so spiritual, though? I'd have expected him to say (duly translated from the original Lionese) "if I had seen that bloody man before he saw me I'd have torn his fucking head off". But maybe that's why my soul is not open to communications from noble animals who have passed on.

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2015 17:54

Weldh, didnt think of that! Obvs the animals die, then can speak English..the plot thickens

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2015 17:56

Cross post. Its all spiritual then? Thats handy

GraysAnalogy · 03/08/2015 17:57

Yes quite clearly when one dies we transcend to a higher plane in which language and communication barriers are a mere triviality, the spirit uses it's medium to pass it's message on.

Or something bollocks like that

QueenOfThorns · 03/08/2015 18:01

You people are so suspicious! As a former colony, English is one of the most commonly spoken languages in Zimbabwe, so it's entirely plausible that Cecil would communicate in it.

Rosetta Stone. He was an international celebrity after all.

Anniegetyourgun · 03/08/2015 18:03

Well, if there were such things, that's how they'd work.

Any lion expressing such highbrow sentiments as the late Cecil is alleged to have done hasn't just transcended to a higher plane, though, it's turned into a different animal altogether. IMO of course.

The80sweregreat · 03/08/2015 18:03

clever woman, richer than me no doubt.
