To ask where I can send my 57p?

According to the Mirror if all the asylum seekers currently in Calais came into the UK and (highly unlikely) never paid any tax, it would cost each of us 57p.
To save a group of people from some of the most unimaginable horrors in their home countries, I'm more than happy to pay that.
So, where do I sign to pay up (and make it clear I'm happy for them to officially seek asylum and have their claims verified)?

And to those who say we are not full then come to any city and look around you. Take those rose tinted glasses off first and accept the reality. Bad things happen we can't save everyone- it's impossible. I do expect those who come to this country to get an education, learn English and work. That's not happening and in the criminal justice system I can tell you we are full

And to those of us who live and work in London you'd say...?

It sounds like your beef is with failures of laissez faire 'market-driven' infrastructure planning such as privatisation of natural monopolies, free schools and removing long term education planning, etc, rather than population per se.

Just another perspective on the issue.

is it 57p per day or person for life?

Element - not if the private provider can do it better and cheaper.
