most people that claim to be animal lovers are hugely hypocritical

My sm is awash with people declaring themselves animal lovers and outraged by that lion. However I know that many of them eat regularly cheap meat and don't give a fuck about where it comes from.

Yes the lion thing is sad,but knowing what goes on every single day to provide people with vast amount s of cheap meat is millions of times worse. Maybe its just the UK where people are that hypocritical and everyone claims to be an animal lover. But actually they only care about a few cute animals that you would see in a zoo and happily stock up on bargain meat without a second thought.

Are you the OP of the other thread?

TendonQueen · 29/07/2015 20:12

Would you like only vegetarians to be allowed to criticise the lion hunter? Everyone else has to shut up and say 'ah well, who am I to criticise?'

usualsuspect333 · 29/07/2015 20:13

Only your posting styles are very similar.

sleepsoftly · 29/07/2015 20:14

Its because I love humanity, animals and the sphere we live on that I believe we should eat less meat.

Meat is inefficient. We are converting too many natural chemicals into so little foodstuff and wasting so much land in the process. We are condensing centuries of natural energy into bare minutes of pleasure. We are squandering.

Its not rocket science. Supermarkets do not mine their products from deep wells underground each retail outlet.

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:14

whiskwarrior you are super smart to realise that someone can post on two different threads at same time.

Well done to you

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:16

unlucky4marie apparently we are the same person Confused

freaky

Sparklingbrook · 29/07/2015 20:16

mmolly you seem very cross.

Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 20:18

No, molly, I'm just smart enough to know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'.

So high five to me!

unlucky4marie · 29/07/2015 20:20

Great post sleep, I do worry about the future of this planet. Im sure most people could halve their meat intake while still having just as enjoyable diet and the plant would be much better off.

OP posts:
Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 20:21

What, Robert Plant?

I reckon he's well off already. Led Zeppelin innit?

unlucky4marie · 29/07/2015 20:22

Yes molly i noticed that. Same old bores just being bitchy rather than adding anything to the conversation.

OP posts:
mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:22

I took a look a some of your previous posts. Well don't you have a superiority complex.

ps in a previous thread you spelt discused

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/07/2015 20:24

I'm an animal lover. Got married in a zoo and requested donations made to the conservation charity. Strict vegetarian, never kill insects (except when they could be harmful, eg killing wasps when I was looking after a toddler who was allergic to their stings, or when I was in Australia and they were poisonous). Free range eggs only.

But I do accept hypocrisy here, because really I should be vegan. There is some cruelty involved in dairy farming. So I understand what you're saying.

Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 20:25

Er, discussed and disgusted are two completely separate words, with separate meanings.

There's no such word as 'discused'.

Unless you're referring to when I've used 'discusted' which I definitely would have done. It's up there with 'apawlled' and 'fumming'.

Anything else?

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 29/07/2015 20:27

OP so you're a vegan?

Or are you unbothered about the lion?

I'm not sure which way it goes. I'm assuming from the way you're posting it's the former option?

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:28

whiskwarrior you wrote in previous post about a shifty nappy change in a toilet

That you would be discused. So feel free to look back and then get off your almighty throne.

I'm done with this btw your boring me.

Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 20:29

Did a search on myself. Found the post you meant.

Yep, I wrote 'discusted'. And 'apawlled'.

Because I was taking the proverbial.

unlucky4marie · 29/07/2015 20:29

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 I'm mildly bothered about the lion, as I know in the grand scheme of animal cruelty its a grain of sand in the milky way.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 29/07/2015 20:29

What's a 'shifty' nappy? Confused

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 29/07/2015 20:30

bitchy?

Interestingly some people who describe themselves as animal lovers seem to have very little care for the animals known as human beings.

I said to DH earlier that a lot of people are probably more upset about the lion being killed than they would be about a Zimbabwean being killed. Although I can understand why that might be, I'm not sure what that says about us as a species.

Bottom line is, most people compromise their beliefs for the sake of their society / convenience / their families, to some extent or another. And there's some stuff around glass houses and stones in there somewhere, I suspect.

Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 20:30

'You're' boring me. YOU'RE!

Dear me...

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 29/07/2015 20:32

So you're a vegan then?

Or does the fact you are only "mildly bothered" about the lion mean that you feel you are justified in your stunning lack of hypocrisy to eat cheese and have chicken every other Thursday, or something.

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:33

You spelt disgusted wrong yet you are still trying to correct my grammar.

You are very very boring

usualsuspect333 · 29/07/2015 20:35

lol at shifty nappy.

ilovesooty · 29/07/2015 20:37

I'm imagining the nappy lurking round a corner in human form trying to look inconspicuous.
