what the fuck am I going to do. I've invited 36 people (18 kids) to my small house for a birthday party thinking it would be warm and people could go in the garden and it's going to rain. Help me!!!!!

Hall would be a brill idea but the only one near enough doesn't have disabled toilets so some family couldn't come after travelling, sorry for drip feeding

I like the idea above of warning people in advance the party will be outside whatever the weather and dressing appropriately. I do think this is an issue for people who have birthdays at this time of year, because you can reasonably expect to be outside. My DD is a November baby, and so we've ALWAYS planned for an indoor party because it's usually freezing and gets dark early. One year she wanted to do an outdoors-y thing, but I put warnings on the invites to dress appropriately and told people I'd text on the am if the weather was really atrocious. It was fine.
