Have a friend (A) and friend (B),,

Friend A has a lot of animals, some indoor, some caged and a few ferel cats outside to keep mice down. Sadly one of A's cats died on Thursday. She is distraught, which is expected as A is a major animal lover . I phoned her, said I was so sorry to hear and that was that.

Friend B just text me to say she was going to visit friend A later today and had bought a sympathy card for the loss of her cat and she had put my name on it as well, is that alright ? Well it was alright, sort of . I have never come across these , have any of you ? and would you send one ?

What a lovely post, limitedperiod

I'd be devastated if my dog died. As in, I don't know how i would function. I think pet sympathy cards are a great idea.

Beautiful Unlimited.

Friend A loved her Card . Rung Me (and Friend B) soon as she got it. She is going to keep them all (she got 5 of them in the end). Decided to have a ring made from Jakes ashes when feeling a little better.

Friend B didn't hand her the card as she too thought on whether to buy one so after showing her this she bought and posted it . Friend A received it yesterday , forgot to update thread

Not sent but would happily receive one.

When each of my retrievers dies, 1st one a friend dropped by with a little gift to show she was thinking of me, and 2nd time, my best friend opened up conversation and happily sat and listened to me. It meant SO MUCH to know people understood and cared, and really helped me feel able to grieve.

Lovely, Dunkling. Glad it helped you.

In memory of one of my cats I bought a ring with a lovely stone in it the same colour as her fur had been. Nobody sent me a card but, thinking on it, I would be moved to be honest.

When my beloved ginger cat died the vet sent me a lovely card - he had been a rescue who was in a dreadful state and the vet had persuaded DH to take him home several years earlier.

I sent one to my cousin when his dog died.He loved the dog very much. I don't think you need a special card just a nice blank type one will do.
