It's so cold I'm going to go to bed with a hot water bottle.

Cold? Where on earth are you?

milkysmum · 25/07/2015 00:54

I have been away in wales this week, I was freezing and used a hot water bottle all week- dh thought I was being ridiculous but I disagreed!

CainInThePunting · 25/07/2015 00:55

Are you sure you aren't coming down with something?

LuckyLuckyMe · 25/07/2015 00:58

It's 9 degrees in Cork. Are you in Ireland?

Fatmomma99 · 25/07/2015 01:01

Turned the heating on today. Pretended it was for the children. It wasn't!

GooodMythicalMorning · 25/07/2015 01:03

Im sweating. I cant sleep im so hot.

cuntyMcCunterson · 25/07/2015 01:06

I've had a hot water bottle for the past 3 nights and I've refilled it a couple of times as I've been so cold!
In my defence in in Scotland and I've got some horrible bug.

ladybird69 · 25/07/2015 01:06

I NEVER EVER feel cold thanks to my age Confused but even I've felt cold these last few days and cold and damp today, had lights on all afternoon and fire on!!! Brrrr July?!!!

ilovesooty · 25/07/2015 01:16

It's 11° here. Too hot for the summer duvet.

It's been perfectly pleasant all day temperature wise as well.

LadybirdSpots · 25/07/2015 01:20

I was cold earlier, after coming in from the rain and contemplated putting the heating on, but fought the urge and put a jumper on instead.

I agree tho it has been horrible today, I don't think it's stopped raining once!

Totallypearshaped · 25/07/2015 01:30

I've never turned the heat off! It's been on all year.
Living in Ireland it seems to be common as the damp is just miserable if there isn't a bit of heat. Dcs have had hot bottles all summer!

Envious of these 'heat waves' of which you speak.
Haven't had one of those since year dot.

nocoolnamesleft · 25/07/2015 01:33

It's been lovely weather today - probably one of the nicest days this year. I was gardening outside until nearly 10pm. Where on earth are you?

Garlick · 25/07/2015 01:41

Cold, relentlessly grey and rainy here. West Midlands. Don't need a hot water bottle, am sympathetic to those who do! My phone's weather app says it's 11°. It's lying.

Glastokitty · 25/07/2015 01:46

Its mid winter here and 18 degrees today. So glad I'm not in Cork (used to live there). I can't wait for summer though.

Garlick · 25/07/2015 12:28

Glasto, your mid-winter's warmer than my summer! Currently 16°.

googoodolly · 25/07/2015 12:33

It's cold here too. 11 degrees at midday, and pissing it down. Not fun!

TheHouseOnBellSt · 25/07/2015 12:35

Why are you going to bed in the middle of the day?

Garlick · 25/07/2015 14:09

Erm, 00:51 is not the middle of the day Grin

dougieroseagain · 25/07/2015 20:56

I'm in the East Midlands - Garlick I'm your almost neighbour!

A bit warmer today. But more rain next week. I feel so sorry for people who are on a camping holiday.

Do a lot of people on Mumsnet live in Australia?
