In life people die. People who do the right thing and those who don't.

He's only 8 and we're trying to show him the full set of films before we go to the WB studio tour on Saturday. That was his response after watching Deathly Hallows part 1. Oh hear. Tonks and Lupin are still to come :[

And Fred Weasley.

Lots of death eaters die, we just don't know them as well.

In the books Crabbe dies in the RoR after setting off Fiend Fire, they had to have Zabini with Malfoy and Crabbe because the actor playing Goyle was in trouble for riot and drug offences.

Don't show him the later films- he's too young, he doesn't need to have seem them all for HP World!

Report
SouthWestmom · 22/07/2015 21:15

Yeah don't show him the films past about the first two!

Report
dougieroseagain · 22/07/2015 21:16

Oh bless, Bertrand Russell - older daugher (age 17) has been the custodian of the Harry POtter films for several years. She's deemed it appropriate as the Harry Potter police.

He seems ok. He is towel flicking everyone in sight. With the towel. Whilst avoiding the shower.

But, no. Really - not with an 8yo.

Agree with don't show him the later films yet. I am still traumatised and I am 47.

dougieroseagain · 22/07/2015 21:23

He's going round the house shouting "Accio Club Penguin."

This is an insight into my life.

I was going to stop after film 4 (Goblet of Fire) but 17year old and the HP POLICE says it's OK to show him the rest of the series. Hmnnnn.

Real answer? Because JKR isn't that great a writer and struggles with loose ends.

Don't even start me on Game of Thrones sighing as that is DP's favourite pastime. He's yet to see that Joffe comes to a sticky and well deserved end

I am a huge HP fan, books and films, and I wouldn't show an 8yo any more than the first 2or 3. And none if he hasn't actually read them. Who's the parent here?! Save the HP world trip till he's older (a friend did this as she'd been bought tix and regretted it).
