Hello today I went out with DDS and some friends. I parked my car and was about to go in to eat when some idiot tried to park next to me. I asked her politely to unroll her window and move as she was tailgating and too close to my car far my liking. She moved but was huffing and puffing and sighing and complained before finally giving in. Aibu to think she was acting immature and rude as she messed up my schedule so DD and my friends had to run ahead to reserve a table without me when I wanted us all to sit together.

OP posts:

Ummm. Confused

wowfudge · 17/07/2015 22:44

I thought this thread was going to be by the woman who told me I needed to 'show some consideration, love' at lunchtime in the supermarket car park. It was okay for her to hog an extra space in a very busy car park by loading her shopping onto the rear seat of her big car she'd reversed into the space, but it was not on for me to be annoyed she made me reverse out so she could take the trolley away - after she'd pulled it out of the way and shut the car door when she saw me turning in. Totally mixed messages.

SoleBizzzz · 17/07/2015 22:44

Oh dear. None issue drama Queen.

anothermakesthree · 17/07/2015 22:50

You got rid of a car because a tailgater dented it?

Another tailgater parked next to you in a car park?

You asked her to move further away. Meanwhile the friends you were with ran away with your DD to reserve a table do you COULDN'T sit together?

Which bit are you asking AIBU about??

Crownjewel · 17/07/2015 22:52

GrumpyOldBiddy2 · 17/07/2015 23:09

Someone recently beeped their horn at me, assume it was because I was rather close to their car whilst reverse parking. Yeah, it was a hairs breadth away, but I'm a Jedi at parking, and got it in there no sweat.
Don't see what his, or your problem is...?

Wolfiefan · 17/07/2015 23:15

Nope. I've had wine. I still don't get it!

Wolfiefan · 17/07/2015 23:16

X post
I want Jedi parking skills!!

ilovesooty · 17/07/2015 23:16

I'm wondering if the rest of the party got a table without the OP.

ShipShapeAhoy · 17/07/2015 23:18

Why couldn't your dd and friends get a table with an extra seat? That's what people usually do when not all their party are present.

FarFromAnyRoad · 17/07/2015 23:21

Grumpy - exactly Grin

MrsMummyPig · 17/07/2015 23:23

They maybe got the idea from somewhere that OP likes her own space.

ilovesooty · 17/07/2015 23:26

Or they didn't want to sit next to her. It all seems very strange.

LavenderLeigh · 17/07/2015 23:26

Can't you just declare a 10 foot exclusion zone around your car at all times?
And command your friends not to dare move without your permission?
