YANBU... Thank God that term is over.

We were on OFSTED alert until the dying moments. I'm 7 months pregnant, exhausted from the warm weather and I need a break.

Theendisnotinsight · 17/07/2015 19:43

Oops posted too soon. Anyway, I am off now to search for vodka. Enjoy your holidays, have a rest, and remember that however glad we profess to be to see the back off the little buggers darlings, we will secretly miss them and be very glad to see them in September... Cheers!

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 19:43

Go on, you can have one Grin

Envy I don't finish until Thursday.
This has been my first year of teaching, by far the hardest I have ever worked in my life. And apparently the NQT year is no easier! Confused
Enjoy your holidays, I will be falling into a vat of dry white on Thursday and will re-emerge early September.

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 19:47

Lizzy You can do it! Gather your strength for the NQT year Smile

Yay! Me too! No cards or prezzies from the kids, but wine and a turned off alarm clock more than make up for it!!

tilliebob · 17/07/2015 19:58

Second week of holidays here - we ventured South of the border last week and my dcs were agog that schools were still in Shock. Eldest said "but the longest day is past and the nights are drawing in!!" I am always of the same viewpoint every year myself.

WineTo you and other chalk face peeps OPSmile

Lizzylou · 17/07/2015 20:03

Thanks Wide Wine
I have utterly loved it so far, even though I have aged 10 yrs and gained a stone. Definitely the right choice for me, but by God I am almost on my knees now!

RaspberryLemonPavlova · 17/07/2015 20:05

YA definitely NBU. TA here. Its been a loooong term. Lots of tears and hugs today as my class were leavers. Sorry as I am to see them go, its lovely to see the holidays.

BitchyHen · 17/07/2015 20:06

Yay holidays! I had a team building thing today which I was dreading but turned out to be really good, and spent this afternoon sitting in a beer garden by the river side with my lovely colleagues.

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 20:07

You'll probs lose that stone over the NQT year....Grin

Am soooo jealous. We break up next Friday and my two are Tired and Grumpy - my least favourite dwarfs. Enjoy your wine .

PumpkinPie2013 · 17/07/2015 20:15

YANBU - I'm so bloody pleased the holidays are here!!

It seems to have been the hardest year this year with endless extra paperwork etc.

Looking forward to spending some quality time with my own son and organising my house

EachPeachPearPlum83 · 17/07/2015 20:16

Happy holidays! We don't finish till lunchtime on Wednesday :-( but I'm breaking open the wine tonight anyway!

PumpkinPie2013 · 17/07/2015 20:18

Posted too soon!

My house is currently a tip so looking forward to sorting it out.

Plus no dashing out of the door at 7.30am to rush poor ds to nursery and then battling the traffic to get to work.

Having Wine tonight to celebrate Grin

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 17/07/2015 20:20

Also drinking Prosecco.

This has been the hardest year of my career (21 years, so not exactly a newbie) for a number of reasons, and we haven't even had OfSTED. I'm not convinced next year will be any better, but I am not going in for at least two weeks now so fuck it.

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 20:21

mares can I recommend a stiff 'last week' drink? Grin

Happy holiday everyone Wine.

We've all survived another year. I have now commenced my busy schedule of "just sitting." I might as well stay here on the sofa until Homes Under the Hammer (holiday guilty pleasure) comes on on Monday.

I'm crying a little bit but I'll be OK in a while. (Tired)

elfycat · 17/07/2015 20:22

We finish Wednesday. I'm looking forwards to not having the school run for a bit. I'm looking forwards to being child-free in the days after September more.

It adds insult to injury that I have to get both DDs up, dressed, breakfasted and all the way to school only to take one back again.

Three more days of that.

CainInThePunting · 17/07/2015 20:27

Good for you, enjoy your wine! Grin

CheckpointCharlie · 17/07/2015 20:29

I have not RTFT, YABU etc etc, we don't break up till next Wednesday!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Congrats to you though, I am envious of your lovely feeling of freedom that you just have right now!,I turn my phone onto 'ring' at the start of every holiday as a kind of rite and I can't frigging wait till weds pm!

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 20:30

Ach, leave one DD in bed. What's the worse that could happen elfy? Grin

I'M KIDDING!

Last term was particularly shite as we had HMIe in - and everyone loves inspectors in school, right? I went through some amount of alcohol in my nonexistent Easter holidays before they marched it. It was a veryyyy long term Confused

Wideopenspace · 17/07/2015 20:40

Hope the result was as you would wish tillie

Yep, everyone looooves an inspection!
