That's it really. Daft script which had me laughing.

Yrs, I thought so too. Ridiculous. I couldn't concentrate on it at all.

Was it supposed to be in the style of a film noir? I was trying to explain to dd, but words failed me.

PeasinPod1 · 12/07/2015 10:13

It was utterly dismal. Far too try hard and failed in every way. I was so looking forwards to a rare night in and watching this and was seriously let down grrrr!! Also just distracted the entire way through.

Getthewonderwebout · 12/07/2015 10:27

No doubt about it, it was quite odd.

New scriptwriter? Mixing up the usual fairly samey storylines?

But Dr Hardy I very lovely even with a hat and trench.

Getthewonderwebout · 12/07/2015 10:28

Is very lovely

Not watched in years , Used to watch Holby until 5 or so months ago , ,got bored with the sameness. Felt it had had its day .

drudgetrudy · 12/07/2015 11:30

I look forward to Casualty but turned it off after 10 minutes last night.

FelineLou · 12/07/2015 12:51

I thought it was silly and not at all interesting. Antone who tolerated that much DV would not commit murder. And why drug Dr Hardy?
I enjoy the true to life scripts where real people need more minor treatment but too often the staff and friends need treatment to save on extra casting I suppose.

zara020 · 12/07/2015 22:34

I look forward to it everyweek.. (particularly dr dylan keogh, could watch a full hour of his mardy arse sexiness Grin ).but last nights was diabolical. I actually think they are trying to be too clever but failed miserably with that.

EastMidsMummy · 12/07/2015 23:01

Casualty is always ridiculous. Rotten show.

addicted2cake · 12/07/2015 23:01

Just watched it and yes, it was sooooo weird!
Saw an advert before it started tho for gbbo! Now that's exciting! Starts soon apparently, anyone know when?

Writerwannabe83 · 12/07/2015 23:08

I've got it recorded in order to watch tomorrow but can't say this thread has given me much hope Grin

SallyMcgally · 13/07/2015 00:13

YANBU. I turned it off and read Jane Green's new novel instead.

MerryInthechelseahotel · 13/07/2015 00:17

'Twas rubbish!

FabulousFudge · 13/07/2015 00:22

It was awful! I hate it when they do random episodes like that.

CarlaJones · 13/07/2015 00:23

Yay! GBBO!

CheeseBaguette · 13/07/2015 00:32

Last night's episode was beyond ridiculous. Just fucking awful. They need to sack the "Hollywood" aspiring script writer that is messing with it.

Summerisle1 · 13/07/2015 01:14

It was fucking dreadful. I was particularly pissed off to be presented with this dross when I was already wishing that I'd gone to a local festival. So sitting down to this excuse for a watchable programme seemed like the ultimate insult.

coffeeisnectar · 13/07/2015 01:24

The best bit was Dylan's line about the cheese sandwich.

Utter shit the rest of it.

mrstweefromtweesville · 13/07/2015 01:26

It was terrible. I didn't find it funny.

Summerisle1 · 13/07/2015 01:37

Funny? It was sodding tragic.

monkeysox · 13/07/2015 08:00

I liked it, was a nice change. Escapism.

WayneRooneysHair · 13/07/2015 08:03

Apparently they were trying to copy the style of Frank Miller's Sin City, not that I watch Casualty but I did hear about it.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/07/2015 09:10

I did watch it through to the end, but only in case something happened that was important to the rest of the series. But the whole film noir/Sin City thing pissed me off mightily.

Zara - you are spot on about Dr Keogh and his 'mardy-arse sexiness'!

AlwaysDancing1234 · 13/07/2015 09:12

Very strange. Hope it's back to normal next week!
