I'm in love with the lovely Mr Jake Gyllenhaal. I can't shake it. I may have joined this Facebook fan page (cos I'm really sad......and older than most of the other members). I may have also clocked up a good few hours on YouTube and Google images.

Inspired by this thread I am watching Donnie Darko. Is it very wrong to fancy him playing a 15yo or whatever he's meant to be? Though I think he was about 20 when it was made.

Viggo Mortensen has a bizarre hold over me (especially in Eastern Promises.) Not a celeb, but I just got a FB message last night from a classmate I had a crush on for YEARS at school... in the 1970s. Still made my heart flutter after all these years!

My bizarre celeb crush is the opera singer, Roberto Alagna, (as he looked about ten years ago) - the weird thing is he looks a bit like my husband. WHo I don't have a crush on.

VonHerrBurton That's exactly why we're all here confessing we know this is like being a teenager. I leafed through The Sun yesterday in a shop because I knew there would be a picture on the showbiz page.

I seem to develop intense and all-consuming crushes most times I binge-watch television shows... And they are painfully reminiscent of the ones I used to get as a teenager. Luckily they are relatively short-lived, but most of the time they only get replaced by another... And I'm sure, were I to re-watch the programmes, they would only get re-ignited...

In recent times, these have been:

James Marsters (but only as Spike) from re-watching Buffy
Nathan Fillion from watching Firefly (am now following on Twitter)
Aaron Paul from watching Breaking Bad (following on Twitter and Instagram)

Oh, and as others have said, they definitely get more intense around ovulation time...

Thankfully, currently in a period of respite - watching series 5 of GoT and I seem to have an unexpected reprieve...

Not quite a celebrity in the traditional sense but my most shameful crush, only recently admitted to on another thread, is Vladimir Putin .
My face is on fire as I type this but there's just something about him, really attractive eyes and whne he's filmed/pictured with a gun or hunting I almost drool. . I'm a lifelong vegetarian for goodness sake and I don't agree with hunting for sport, I don't know what's wrong with me.

anon I know, but its the cold, ruthless empty eyes that make him so attractive . I am of your DH, I've met a lot of international politicians, very senior military personnel and diplomats in my career, before I became a sahm, but he was never one of them. Probably for the best really .
