to feel far less lonely working from home than I ever did working in my last office job?

Just that.. At first I really missed the daily chat, but actually now I've adjusted I realise that being around a variety of people, many of whom I had nothing in common with, and some of whom I couldn't bear, left me feeling alienated and craving warm human contact... Whereas now I feel quite content. Am I odd or have other people experienced similar?

Yes, YANBU. But I do have urges to go & get a Costa just so that I can talk to someone for a couple of minutes.

Yanbu! I love working from home. Especially when the house is empty! Absolutely love it.

I have a lunch date once a week to catch up with other work at home mums so that I don't feel too cut off. It's lovely, we moan about the normal work things but have no irritating colleagues.

I could never ever go back. So many unhinged people in one space is not healthy
