Er, sorry for a blatant request for traffic Blush

Last couple of days my eyesight has seriously deteriorated. I wear glasses but I have blurred vision and "floaters". Could this be to do with heat? What should I do? Cam see
Better without glasses at the minute.

Help? Please?

If you explain what's wrong to the opticians, they WILL see you. I had a suspected scratch in my eye once and they saw me twenty minutes later. For your circumstances, I can imagine they would do exactly the same thing.

NobodyLivesHere · 04/07/2015 03:55

Hope you are ok OP. I posted a very similar post to this a few months back and I had a detached retina

LuisSuarezTeeth · 04/07/2015 16:58

Good news!

I have "dry eyes" that's all. Got some drops to use and new glasses on order.

Apparently I have probably had this condition a while and the recent hot weather and working outside a lot has made it worse.

Optician I saw today said it's often related to menopause Shock but I explained that wasn't happening yet (I'm 41 and regular). Cheeky git!

Anyway thanks for your support and suggestions, I'm very relieved!

This happened to me in my late twenties, and it took a few years but my eyes are more or less back to normal now. I never need drops any more and I can wear my contacts without any problems, but unfortunately I'm still very photophobic - that's the only aftereffect.

FryOneFatManic · 04/07/2015 17:40

Hi OP, sounds like good news. Hope the drops help.

londonrach · 04/07/2015 17:49

Mrshath really. I hope so. Lost my eye sight for about an hour today. Think its a visual migrane but not had before. Noticed eye sight not been good recently. Was thinking of getting my contacts checked Really hope you right. Be the best news ever and ill be dancing around excited. Too early though. Luis hope you sorted xxx

LuisSuarezTeeth · 04/07/2015 19:30

Do get checked! I've been lax about being tested. So glad for all the advice and help Flowers

LuisSuarezTeeth · 04/07/2015 19:32

The drops have already made a difference. Although not serious in itself, the optician said long term it could cause damage.

Don't be "I'll do it next week" with eye tests like me!

LuisSuarezTeeth · 04/07/2015 19:33

A and E was fine actually I was seen in under an hour!

OP posts:
MrsHathaway · 04/07/2015 21:22

Good luck London - optician as early as you can.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 04/07/2015 23:28
