I sometimes wonder about this and wonder if I am missing something. is it because it is easier on a phone for instance to just post in chat or AIBU.

That can't be sung to the St Trinian's theme, I tried really hard and it simply doesn't scan.

Samcro · 01/07/2015 23:13

can you make one up that will please. or should I ask that in the music topic?

I find if I go to bed in just a vest and knickers and let a fan blow over me the heat is bearable

Samcro · 01/07/2015 23:15

If you read a particular topic, then you start to recognise posters names ? Like some one else said, if you are worried about appropriate use of topics this question should be on site stuff.

SilverNightFairy · 01/07/2015 23:19

My apologies., that was meant for the heat and humidity thread..Blush

Tanith · 01/07/2015 23:31

I want to know what a spa is. Everyone on here talks about it, everyone seems to recommend one and I've never been to one. Not once Sad

Is it like the one in the old Miss Marple story, all hideous gossipy women and one of them gets bumped off? Is it a health farm?
Do normal people really visit them?

Oh - an AIBU. Um. Op, YABU.
I think Confused

I was really shocked when s/one posted a thread on AIBU about what clothes to take on holiday (she was worried about her body shape in hot weather with thinner people).

And (not meaning to be mean) I posted saying "shouldn't this thread be on S&B?.

S&B is a place I have been precisely once, because I have zero interest in it (but I had a specific issue about my daughter, and they were very helpful)

And I was STUNNED when about a gazillion AIBU "vipers" were giving all advice about maxi dresses and posting pictures of their 3/4 length trousers, and several people said "what's S&B?"

I found it very odd.

SilverNightFairy · 02/07/2015 01:07

Tanith, a spa is where you can go hang and get a massage, have your nails did, your minge waxed and foiled, sit around and drink water by the pool..and wrap everything by 3 in time to do the school run..

everything is usually done up in cool soothing tones and you will get offered a nice fluffy robe to lounge in..knickers optional

Trills · 02/07/2015 01:14

What's your question of reasonableness?

Shouldn't this be in Site Stuff?

Are you being unreasonable... WHAT?

It's because the other topis have "no traffic" and people prefer to be a part of the problem rather than a part of the solution.

MaggieJoyBlunt · 02/07/2015 01:17

Could someone sing the St Trinians tune for me please? I'm blanking.

HappenstanceMarmite · 02/07/2015 07:47

I can agree re posting in some of the slower, more obscure topics where traffic is slow. But baby/toddler AIBUs re what to feed them or which bloody pushchair to buy? Really?

Tanith · 02/07/2015 08:26

Thank you, Silvernightfairy! It sounds worse than anything I imagined Grin

Foiled?! No - I really don't think I want to know Shock

Mrsjayy · 02/07/2015 09:08

I posted ages ago in a specific topic and it was like tumbleweed for 2 days nothing some kind soul answered me they probably felt sorry for my lonely post I guess people just hang about chat and aibu because they get the most responses imo mums net has to many topics anyway.

Samcro · 02/07/2015 09:10

sorry its the newish one

You will get instant replies if you post in AIBU.

It's a crap way to use a forum, but some posters think MN is AIBU.

because there are a ridiculous number of topics, some of them very similar and by the time you had scrolled through them all and decided which was the best one to post on, you'd probably have forgotten what you wanted to say, and if you hadn't - no bugger would read it anyway because they're all hanging out in here!

Mrsjayy · 02/07/2015 09:20

Urm why or what is foiling minges Confused spa my eye sounds like a torture chamber
